Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ShulSync collects, uses, and protects information when institutions and community members use our website, admin dashboard, display screens, and mobile app.

1. Who We Serve

ShulSync is a digital display and communications platform for shuls, schools, and similar institutions. The institution (tenant) controls the content shown to its community.

2. Information We Collect

We collect limited information needed to operate the service:

  • Institution signup details (for example: contact name, email, phone, organization name, selected slug).
  • Tenant content entered by admins (flyers, announcements, schedules, sponsor/donor text, display settings).
  • Technical and security data (for example: IP address, request logs, timestamps, and basic device/network metadata).
  • Billing/subscription identifiers from Stripe (for example: customer ID, subscription ID, billing status).

We design the mobile app to minimize personal data collection from end users. The app is primarily for viewing tenant-published content and linking to a tenant using an access code.

3. How We Use Information

  • To create and manage tenant accounts.
  • To deliver display and app content for the selected tenant.
  • To authenticate admin access and maintain account security.
  • To process subscriptions and billing events.
  • To maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We only share data with service providers needed to run ShulSync, such as hosting/infrastructure providers and payment processors (for example, Stripe), and only for service delivery, security, and legal compliance.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and content data while a tenant account is active and as needed for legitimate business, operational, security, and legal reasons. Data may be deleted or anonymized upon valid request, subject to required retention obligations.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7. Children

ShulSync is not intended for direct use by children as a standalone account product. Institutions are responsible for the content they publish and for complying with applicable child privacy requirements in their jurisdiction.

8. International Users

Depending on where you access ShulSync, your information may be processed in countries other than your own. By using ShulSync, you understand that cross-border processing may occur.

9. Your Choices

Tenant administrators can update or remove published content through the admin dashboard. For account-level privacy requests, contact us using the details below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
